IAS Officer, India

Former professor of history, IAS Officer in the Government of India for 25 years, served as one of Jammu & Kashmir’s top civil servants (Divisional Commissioner) for several years.  2003-2004 Fellow at the United States Institute for Peace.   Author of several texts on development and reform.

Patrick Meagher Governance Specialist, Maryland, USA Director of the Governance at the Center for Institutional Reform and the Informal Sector (IRIS) at the University of Maryland, affiliated with USAID and World Bank.  Over 20 years of experience in governance and reform issues in Africa, Asia, and South America.
6. Nagarajan Vittal Ex-Central Vigilance Commissioner of India IAS Officer since 1960, and former Central Vigilance Commissioner of India, responsible for investigating corruption with the Central Government and monitoring the activities of the State Vigilance Organisations.

Dr. S. Murlidhar:

Supreme Court Advocate, Delhi

Supreme Court Advocate in Delhi since 1987.  Specialist in human rights cases.  Involved in the Bhopal Union Carbide Tragedy litigation, the Best Bakery Case (2001Communal Riots in Gujarat), and the Sardar Sarovar dam case.  Also a part-time member of the Law Commission of India.

9. Julio F. Ribeiro IPS (Retired) Former DGP Punjab, former Mumbai Police Commissioner, campaigner against government corruption.

Medical researcher at the University of Chicago, USA.  Specialist in arsenic carcinogenesis, coordinator for NIH-supported human cancer research in Bangladesh and West Bengal, India.  Interest in good governance work.

Involved in the social sector since over a decade. Special interest in Consumer, Environmental and Cooperative Law and Cooperatives as a medium for poverty alleviation.
